Oriental Cockroach

Oriental Cockroaches range in color from red-brown to black with the females reaching 1 1/2" in length. Only the males have wings and they reach 1" in length. The nymphs are 1/4" in length and are light brown in color. As they mature, they darken. Oriental cockroaches prefer damp, dark areas of the home such as the basement, crawlspaces, drains and sewers. The female will lay down about eight egg capsules in her lifetime, each containing about 16 eggs. Each eggs capsule is approximately 3/8" in length and is deposited in hidden locations. When nymphs emerge, they will molt 10 times before reaching adulthood which takes about 500 days to complete.
